1 The case of Doctor Death is one such case where utilitarian principles can be wrongly applied.
The Queensland hospital is in dire need of a doctor so they took in Dr. Patel without researching his background. They wanted profits and Dr. Patel provided them half a million dollars a year. They wanted good publicity so they shunned Hoffman from going to the press. They wanted the status quo to be maintained in the hospital so they repressed all complaints and sided with Dr. Patel.
