Isaac Newton's Contribution to Mathematics
Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) is undoubtedly one of the most prominent scientists, with many believing he is the greatest. He was an English mathematician, scientist, astronomer, theologian, author, and physicist who made significant contributions to understanding the universe. His interests included mathematics and philosophy. Newton's works, experiments, and thoughts on the motion of light and bodies established coherent expression within Principia Mathematica and Opticks, his groundbreaking works. He made great inventions in different disciplines of contemporary science in the course of his short biography. This paper evaluates Newton's contributions to modern mathematics and how such mathematics has contributed to modern-day life and global historical events. Ultimately, the essay documents the importance of mathematics.
